Parque da Paz, Almada
Sobreiro de copa frondosa e abundante é, arrisco-me a dizer, a árvore mais conhecida e procurada do parque. Aqui, à sua sombra, famílias convivem alegremente durante todo o ano, crianças brincam, namorados trocam juras de amor e beijos calorosos e ardentes ou mimos ternos e suaves, passeantes sentam-se e fazem uma pausa da intensidade dos ritmos diários.
Aqui gaios saltitam em busca das suculentas bolotas que esta árvore dá, enquanto outras aves se abrigam na sua folhagem.
É incrível como tal ser, imóvel fisicamente, tanto mexe com as pessoas. No entanto, questiono-me quantas destas pessoas param para admirar este fabuloso ente e agradecer-lhe tudo o que generosamente nos oferece.
Este sobreiro é a minha árvore favorita que não cesso de olhar, de observar e de fotografar.
Peace Park, Almada
Cork oak with a leafy and abundant crown is, I daresay, the best-known and most sought-after tree in the park. Here, in its shadow, families live happily throughout the year, children play, lovers exchange vows of love and warm, fiery kisses or tender, soft cuddles, strollers sit and take a break from the intensity of daily rhythms. Here jays hop around in search of the succulent acorns that this tree produces, while other birds take shelter in its foliage. It’s incredible how such a being, physically immobile, moves people so much. However, I wonder how many of these people stop to admire this fabulous being and give thanks for everything he generously offers us. This cork oak is my favorite tree that I never stop looking at, observing and photographing.
