Nas margens da barragem existe vegetação que desponta e teima em manter-se acima do nível da água. Num dia nublado porque não aproveitar os reflexos das nuvens na água, colocando o foco numa destas plantas que insistem em manter-se acima da mesma, e utilizar um filtro ND variável de alta intensidade para escurecer a imagem? Com paciência abriu-se uma clareira no manto de nuvens e foi possível posicionar o sol no topo da silhueta da planta.
“Água de Serra, Sombra de Pedra” é um provérbio popular do qual desconheço a origem mas que me pareceu adequado a esta fotografia.

On the banks of the dam there is vegetation that appears and insists on remaining above the water level. On a cloudy day, why not take advantage of the reflections of the clouds on the water, focusing on one of those plants that insist on staying above it, and use a high-intensity variable ND filter to darken the image? With patience, a clearing opened up in the cloud cover and it was possible to position the sun at the top of the plant’s silhouette. “Water of Mountain, Shadow of Stone” is a popular proverb of which I don’t know the origin but which seemed appropriate to this photograph.
